The leg of the "T" is on the ramps and the top, flat part of the "T" is over the nose of the lobe. Normal wear just shows up as a lightly different shade of gray on the lobe. Lifters should be nice and shiny across the face. Good that they have a round wear pattern showing they're rotating.
