The long posts with 20 or 30 or more lines are really hard to read because my eyes can't follow the lines. WebTL;DR: (1) Your eyes (and brain) read quickly. (2) You need to keep track of lines (because you read quickly) and smaller paragraphs make that easy. (3) Smaller paragraphs (to a specific extent) make text more fluid and therefore easier for your brain to absorbs the ideas and move on with the rest of the text.
