WitrynaImpulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction are challenging disorders for clients across the lifespan. These disorders often manifest as negative behaviors, resulting in adverse outcomes for clients. WitrynaThus, it is not clear how cognitive processes underlying impulsivity and compulsivity are related in the context of eating-related behaviors, or how they might interact with other processes such as decision-making. Based on the aforementioned limitations, we make several recommendations for future research.
