SSL is slightly hygroscopic, soluble in ethanol and in hot oil or fat, and dispersible in warm water. 網頁An internal standard (nonadecanoyl-1-lactylate) was synthesized in-house and pure ester standards were isolated from commercial additive formulations. The method showed a limit of detection of 0.04 and a limit of quantification of 0.12 mg esters ml⁻¹.
